PROCUREMENT & MATERIALS MANAGEMENT INITIATIVES

Purchase Orders issued by CEMSI no longer include a separate Terms and Conditions for Purchases page. This change was made to streamline our procurement process and conserve resources. The link below provides access to our current General Terms and Conditions of Purchases. Please contact CEMSI if you require a hardcopy sent for your files or with each order.

In-progress inspections are performed and documented throughout the manufacturing process. These in-progress inspection and testing procedures reduce scrap materials and minimize excess personnel working-hours. System design and engineering drawings are available electronically throughout the manufacturing phase reducing paperwork volume.

Packaging materials are re-used for further delivery to our clients provided they are in good condition. This recycling includes bubble wrap, foam chips, cardboard boxes, pallets, and crates. Where possible, biodegradable foam chips are used. Materials that are not in acceptable condition for re-use are recycled. 

Consolidation of supplier and customer orders reduce shipping materials required, paperwork generated and transportation charges (fuel used by couriers, shipping costs, etc.).
