CEM Specialties Inc. Gives an Edge to its Employees!

Health and wellness program, co-ordinated by Employer’s Edge, launches in March 2008

LONDON -- In any business venture, you’re always looking for an edge. And what better advantage can you have than a healthy and happy workforce?

CEM Specialties Inc. (CEMSI) has partnered with Employer’s Edge, Inc. to create a multi-faceted wellness program that will be designed based upon the expressed needs and desires of CEMSI’s employee base. Through group interaction, personal wellness profiles, and one-on-one consultations, Employer’s Edge will be able to determine which wellness programs would be best suited for CEMSI’s employees.

“This really is a holistic approach to lifestyle management,” explained Employer’s Edge President Garth Jansen. “It’s not just about fitness and diet – we’re also looking at emotional health issues as these are often key sources of stress and unhappiness.”

And it’s not just about improving the bottom line at CEMSI – it’s also about making sure that those heart lines don’t flat line!

“We’re committed to helping our employees live the best they can,” Henry Vergeer, CEM Specialties’ President said. “A healthier, happier workforce will be more productive and, in the long run, may help to control health care costs, but what’s most important is that our employees are healthy and get the most out of their time away from the office.”

The program kicked off in March 2008 when Employer’s Edge held a staff information session, a wellness orientation fair, and initiated personal consultations. From there, the company will determine which wellness programs are most desired by the employees and work with CEMSI to implement them.
